We aim to be a company that operates a sound business and continues to grow over the long term

A company has responsibilities to its customers, employees, shareholders, business partners, local communities, and other stakeholders with whom it interacts through its business. In order to continue and develop its business over the long term, it is necessary to fulfill these responsibilities. It used to be said as "sampo yoshi", and nowadays said as "sustainability management." Although the phrase has been changed, we regard the meaning and essence remain the same.

We have been engaged in human resource services business mainly in the sciences field as its core. During the course, we have been faced various issues between stakeholders and us, and we have continuously tackled and resolved them. Doing so was necessary for our long-term development. In that sense, we might have always managed our business based on the notion of sustainability so far as ever.

Our business of temporary staffing and CRO services are based on employing a large number of people. Thus, "people" is a major determining factor in our business. In this context, we believe that the most important responsibilities of the WDB Group are to "provide many rewarding workplaces" and "produce many people who feel joy, grow, and achieve self-fulfillment through their work.

By continuing to provide attractive jobs, compensation, and working environments for many workers, we will continue to be a company that provides satisfying services to our customers, meets the expectations of our shareholders, builds good relationships with our business partners, and contributes to local communities. We will continue to do what we must, without fear of change, in order to operate a sound business that satisfies all stakeholders related to our company.

Our perspective on sustainability management

As a provider of human resource services and CRO services,
we will continue to develop in the future.

Sustainability is a combination of the word "sustain" and suffix "-bility" in English, and refers to the concept of realizing a society in which the environment, society, and the economy develop continuously.
The term "sustainability management" has come to mean corporate management that is conscious of continuing long-term sustainable development. Specifically, it means "maintaining a global environment in which business can continue to develop," "maintaining good relationships with stakeholders such as employees, customers, business partners, and local communities," and "implementing corporate governance that enables legal compliance, confidentiality, and risk management systems to function," etc. These are collectively called ESG.

Maintain healthy relationships with stakeholders.

Our stakeholders include customers, temporary staff, employees, shareholders, business partners, and the local community. In order to maintain a healthy relationship with each of our stakeholders, we place great importance on the following.

  • For customers

    For our customers, we strive to provide high quality services with the aim of "guaranteeing results" and "creating new value". We believe that our company continues to grow because the value of our services is recognized by our customers. For our customers, we will continue to build even deeper relationships by further refining our current services and offering services that have not been existed before.

  • For temporary staff

    For temporary staff, we have worked to introduce jobs that match their preferences and provide support so that they can work satisfactorily and stably for a long period of time. In addition to these efforts, we will further increase satisfaction levels by improving compensation and providing highly convenient services through our platform. Our goal is to be a temporary staffing agency that makes people want to work for WDB forever.

  • For employees

    We provide adequate compensation, empowering work, correct evaluation and educational opportunities.
    By doing so, we aim to ensure that all employees are highly productive and attractive to the best and brightest.

  • To our shareholders

    By continuing to grow our business, we will continue to increase our dividend, increase our market capitalization, and return profits to our shareholders. Even in times when we are not able to grow our business as we wish, we will communicate to our shareholders our current situation and where we want to be, explain what we are working on to achieve this, and make it happen, We will meet the expectations of our shareholders, who have invested in and have high hopes for the future of our company.

  • For business partners

    We want to communicate correctly what we require, pay fair price, and have a long term relationship. We will continue business transactions, by understanding and respecting each other, while maintaining a healthy relationship with a sense of tension.

  • For the society

    First of all, we want to be a company that complies with the rules of society and is trusted as a sensible company. We then believe that the greatest contribution we can make is to create jobs and pay taxes. We will fulfill our responsibility by contributing to the community not through superficial contributions to the community, but by taking our business seriously, and as a result, contributing to the community.

Corporate governance in accordance with good sense.

We are an owner-operated company, with the majority of shares still held by the representative director. We also have a listed subsidiary in our Group, which makes so-called "parent-subsidiary listing" happening.
We are aware that externally this form of business is not favored by some investors.
Therefore, we conduct our business activities with a strong awareness of corporate governance in accordance with good common sense.
We do not make management decisions that would damage the value of the company, because our management's interests are aligned with enhancing the value of the company.
At the same time, we have built a system that allows our shareholders to invest feeling assured through ongoing monitoring by highly independent outside directors.
While leveraging the strengths of an owner-operated company, where the major shareholder manages the company, we will ensure proper corporate governance through appropriate systems and good common-sense decision making.

Conduct business operations in an environmentally friendly manner.

Most of our customers are in the manufacturing industry, universities, and public institutions. As many of these customers are conducting research on improving environmental problems, so we indirectly contribute to solving environmental problems by supplying human resources to those laboratories.
In addition, to ensure that our operations place as little burden on the environment as possible, we will continue to monitor energy use, CO2 emissions, and water usage to conserve those resources.
